Collecting your proof of residence
As of 4 July it is possible for refugees from Ukraine who fall under the Temporary Protection Directive to collect their proof of residence. They can make an appointment for this at one of the pick-up locations of the IND.
The IND has started issuing proofs of residence. In the coming period the IND will work hard to set up 6 pick-up locations throughout the Netherlands where refugees from Ukraine can go to collect their proof of residence. At this moment, two locations are open:
The Brabanthallen in Den Bosch; and
De Broodfabriek in Rijswijk.
As of 18 July it will also be possible to visit a pick-up location in Assen. In addition, the IND is busy setting up a pick-up location in the Amsterdam region. On the website of RefugeeHelp.nl you will find the most recent information about the appointment scheduler, the pick-up locations and other important changes.
Refugees from Ukraine receive proof of residence in the form of a sticker in their passport, a sticker on a loose sheet of paper or a card, depending on their situation. You can make an appointment via the website of RefugeeHelp. Would you like more information about how to make an appointment? Please visit the information page.
Please note: the appointment planner is currently very full. New time slots are added all the time, so keep an eye on the appointment planner. Is there no location or time available for you? Please check the appointment planner again later. The IND aims to enable everyone to collect their proof of residence before 1 September 2022.
