TeamUp is a joint program of Save the Children, UNICEF Netherlands, and War Child. The TeamUp project offers games & activities for children in reception centers and schools. This way, children learn how to deal with emotions, build their self-confidence, and develop a hopeful future - in a playful way.

Fietsersbond (Cyclists' union)

Multiple local initiatives organize bike lessons for newcomers. Register as a bicycle teacher via the Fietsersbond (Cyclists' union) and help refugees, the elderly, or children with cycling lessons.

Foundation Welkom in Utrecht

The foundation Welkom in Utrecht brings together the refugees that reside in Utrecht with local citizens. Activities are offered for, by, and with refugees. As a resident of Utrecht you can contribute to this in various ways.

Den Haag Doet

Den Haag Doet (The Hague Does) organizes activities for refugees from Ukraine in the Hague region such as art and music workshops, & activities for children.

Welcome App

Welcome App connects newcomers, locals, and organizations with each other. In this free app, newcomers can find local activities, chat with neighbors and find their way to an education or job. If you want to help them or know people who want to join the network, download the app.


NLvoorelkaar is the largest online platform for voluntary deployment in the Netherlands linked to about 60 local platforms. People who want to help can easily find out where they can use their time and talent in the overview of volunteer jobs.

Het Leger des Heils (The Salvation Army)

Het Leger des Heils (The Salvation Army) supports host families hosting accommodating refugees from Ukraine. The organization is looking for many volunteers who will guide the host families and who are available for practical questions. More information can be found on the website.

BOOST Amsterdam

Do you live in (the neighbourhood of) Amsterdam and would you like to become a volunteer at a fun and unique meeting place? At BOOST Amsterdam, various activities are offered such as language lessons, sports, sewing and having lunch together. Are you interested? Via the initiative Ukrainians for Dinner you can receive refugees from Ukraine in your home to eat and talk together. You cook something nice for your guests or cook together with them, so that they experience warmth and are in a homely environment. Register via the website below.
