If you do not yet have a job or if you have been laid off, you are entitled to benefits. This is an amount of money that you get each month from the government. You can read more about it on this page.

Different types of benefits

If you have not yet found work or your contract has not been renewed, you can get financial support from the government. You get an amount per month to live on. This is called an 'uitkering' (benefit). Even if you start working less, you can receive benefits in some cases.
