What data do we collect?

We are VluchtelingenWerk Nederland (VWN). We can be reached by telephone. We collect the personal data you give to us yourself, when you call us, or when you fill in contact information via our website.

We also collect very limited personal data about you when you visit our website. We describe this in our separate cookie statement.

Why do we collect data?

We use your personal data as a visitor to our website for the following purposes only:

For the (technical) maintenance and improvement of our website.
To be able to contact you by phone or email about questions you have posed to us.

We do not process sensitive personal data. We do not collect information about you from other organisations. We also don't engage in profiling.

We process most data based on the need to enter a service agreement with you, or based on the need to fulfil our legitimate interest.

Storage and sharing of personal data

We do not store the data longer than necessary. We do not provide the data to third parties in any way, unless we are legally obliged to do so. For example, if the tax authorities request access to our accounts.

We do use some other organisations to perform tasks for us, but these are just processors. For example, our website is hosted using Navara. So they process personal data only on our behalf and under our supervision, for the purposes we have determined and under strict confidentiality.

If we process your personal data, you have the right to see, alter and delete your personal data. In addition, you have the right to object and the right to data portability.
