In order to be eligible for a permanent residence permit, you must meet the
You have lived in the Netherlands for at least 5 consecutive years with a valid Dutch asylum residence permit.
Only the years from the age of 8 count toward that 5-year period. Children cannot apply for a permanent residence permit until they are at least 13 years old and have had a valid residence permit since age 8.
You always renewed your residence permit on time.
You have always complied with the conditions of your residence permit. And you still meet those conditions now.
You are not a danger to Dutch society.
You did not give false information or withhold information when you applied for your current residence permit.
You are registered in the Dutch population register (BRP).
You have passed the civic integration exam or do not need to take the civic integration exam.
You can pay the cost of the permanent residence permit yourself.
If you meet all the conditions, you can apply to the IND for a permanent residence permit.
