If you have an asylum residence permit and are between 18 and 67 years old, you get Dutch language lessons. You will also learn about Dutch society. This is called 'inburgeren'. Civic integration is mandatory. Read more about it here.

If you have a residence permit and are between 18 and 67 years old, the government requires you to learn Dutch and get to know Dutch society. This is called civic integration. Read here when and how to start civic integration.
