The new official report discusses the period from May to December 2025. The previous official report was published in May 2025. After that official report, the Dutch government decided to resume processing asylum applications from Syrians.
Figures from the Dutch Ministry of Asylum and Migration show that most asylum applications by Syrians have been rejected since that time. The figure is about 75 percent. Currently, 19,000 Syrians in the Netherlands are still waiting for a decision on their asylum applications.
