Refugee children from Ukraine can receive free children's books through Better Time Stories. The (listening) books connect separated families through a listening and recording function. In this way, the Better Time Stories organisation hopes to offer support to children and welcome them to their new environment.

Interactive picture books

Donations allow Better Time Stories to create a gift package for a child. The package includes five interactive picture books on themes of comfort, love and optimism. The books are written by Ukrainian authors. The special feature is that each book is also available as an audiobook. Family members left behind can speak and record the story via an app. Children then hear the family member's voice so they can read the book together - remotely.

All picture books and audiobooks are bilingual: in Ukrainian and in the language of the country where the children now live. This helps not only to get acquainted with the new environment, but also to learn a new language.

As a family with temporary residence in the Netherlands, Flanders (Belgium), Germany or Austria, you can apply for a free package. After the application, Better Time Stories will work to find a donor so that a book package can be sent.

If you want to request a book package, check out the Better Time Stories website.
