Payment account for Ukrainians without valid ID

You can open an account at most banks in the Netherlands without a valid ID. To do so, you must register in the

Dutch population register (BRP)

citizen service number (BSN)

Applying for a current account is often done at the bank's branch. Check the website of the bank where you want to open an account to see if there are any other requirements. You can open an account with these banks: - Bunq Bank - ING - Rabobank - Regiobank - ABN AMRO Bank

Most banks accept the identification documents below: 

 - A Cyrillic Ukrainian passport combined with a 'certificaat van identiteitsvaststelling' from the Ukrainian Embassy.

- An expired English-language Ukrainian passport , renewed by the Ukrainian Embassy with an extension stamp.

- A Ukrainian permanent residence permit valid on 24 February 2022 in combination with a valid passport from your country of origin.

- A valid O-document issued by the Dutch I

mmigration and Naturalisation Service (IND)

For non-Ukrainian refugees, most banks accept the following identification documents:   - A Ukrainian permanent residence permit valid on 24 February 2022 in combination with a valid passport from your country of origin. 

- A valid foreign national certificate, W-document or O-document. They are issued by the Dutch Immigration and Naturalisation Service (IND).
