Various events for Ukrainians living in the Netherlands will take place in March, April and May. Below is an overview by location.

Amsterdam

Photography exhibition by Julia Kochetova, War is Personal

| FOAM presents "War is Personal", a solo exhibition by the Ukrainian photographer and documentary filmmaker Julia Kochetova. She belongs to a new generation of visual artists who are experiencing the war in Ukraine first-hand and documenting it from within.

Cinema: Women Voices

| A film evening featuring Ukrainian short films by female directors. The Ukrainian Film Club in Amsterdam presents "Women Voices". The films explore themes of memory, identity, relationships and social change. They demonstrate how women have revitalised and enriched modern Ukrainian cinema.

Haïvka Fest

| Celebrate spring at Haïvka Fest. On 4 April, everyone is welcome to join us in celebrating Ukrainian Easter and spring, for young and old alike. Haïvka Fest is a spring festival for children and adults, organised by Dzherelo School and the Ukrainian Cultural Centre. Visitors can take part in a varied programme packed with creative and cultural activities.

Yaktak

| Yaktak is a Ukrainian singer-songwriter who has quickly risen to fame. He has collaborated with artists such as Jerry Heil, MamaRika and KOLA. His songs often feature high up in the charts. His aim is to displace Russian music from the charts. During the concert, you will hear some well-known songs. A portion of the proceeds will go to the Ukrainian army.

Zhenya Galich - Musical Stand-up - Amsterdam | This spring, there is an acoustic evening featuring music and humour. We will be singing our favourite songs and chatting about all sorts of things. Zhenya will be answering questions and there will be some surprises. It is a charity tour for Ukraine 🇺🇦. We are raising money and holding an auction with some great items. Come along, bring your friends, and let’s make it a fun evening together!


15 May 2026, 19:00 | De Melkweg | Lijnbaansgracht 234a, 1017 PH Amsterdam

DakhaBrakha

| The folk quartet DakhaBrakha was formed in Kyiv in 2004. The group combines Ukrainian folk music with rhythms from other cultures. They also use traditional instruments from various countries. Their powerful vocals create a unique sound with Ukrainian roots.

Amstelveen

27 March 2026, 19:00 | Huiskamerconcert | Pandora 3, Nieuwe Bankrashal, Amstelveen (2nd floor)

Lubi Druzi | An evening of beloved Ukrainian songs, a warm atmosphere and an open mic session at the end. The concert aims to raise funds for vehicles for the 65th and 53rd Brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (ZSU). Entry is free, but booking is required via DM on Instagram @lubi.druzi due to limited seating.

Rotterdam

Workshops with singer Golovchenko

| Two musical gatherings, especially for women, centred around Ukrainian songs that celebrate spring, new beginnings, hope and feminine strength. No singing experience is necessary – every voice is welcome! Maryana Golovchenko, born in Kyiv and living in The Hague, is a singer, performer and workshop leader with deep roots in the Ukrainian musical tradition. In her workshops, music, culture and stories come together in a warm, inspiring atmosphere.

Nijmegen

Ukrainan Easter

| We invite everyone to come together and experience the warmth of Easter – through songs, traditions, creativity and acts of kindness – and to discover Ukrainian Easter traditions. Places for the workshops are limited, so please register in advance. The event is organised in collaboration with Nijmegen4Ukraine, the Vedana choir and the Ukrainian school Volya, with support from the Antonius Van Paduakerk.

Percussion at an Exhibition

| A unique blend of percussion, textile art and fashion. Percussionist Konstantyn Napolov performs live during designer Peter George d’Angelino’s exhibition, 'Tap'. You walk through the galleries whilst he plays music to accompany various artworks. The designer also talks about his work. You’ll see large costumes and tapestries. The music ranges from powerful rhythms to soft sounds, such as rain.

Charity concert for Ukraine: music saves lives

Every note can save lives. Join us for a special evening of music and culture to support Ukraine. We are raising funds for an ambulance and medical supplies for the front line. These are desperately needed in areas such as Kharkiv and Donetsk. Our target is €18,000. Entry is free upon registration. Together, we can save lives!
