Reading Ukrainian Books
In collaboration with the Dutch libraries, Odilo offers a free app with more than 3000 e-books, audiobooks and learning opportunities, in Ukrainian and English. There are also books for children. You can download the app for IOS and Android.
Through the online platform CoCo, refugees from Ukraine can get in touch with each other in the Netherlands and meet in their own language. For each region there is a public group where you can chat and post activities. In order to regain a bit of the feeling of home in a foreign environment. The app is available for Android and iOS.
Art class by Art-S-Cool
Children should be able to play and do crafts. Art-S-Cool has made three online art lessons in Ukrainian in cooperation with Geld voor je Kunst. This way children from Ukraine can still have fun this summer. These art lessons are meant for children between 4 and 12 years old. The lessons can be found on the YouTube channel of Art-S-Cool.
Net in Nederland
The Netherlands Public Broadcasting Corporation (NPO) has set up a platform for refugees: Net in Nederland.
Through Net in Nederland, you can find social media channels specifically for refugees from Ukraine. Through Facebook, Instagram and Telegram, for example, you can watch Ukrainian-subtitled television programmes for both children and adults. Apart from television programmes, Net in Nederland also offers many useful videos with information about life in the Netherlands and Dutch culture.
