Have you fled to the Netherlands and have Ukrainian citizenship? Then you probably fall under the Temporary Protection Directive (TPD). This means that you are entitled to a place in a reception centre and medical care in the Netherlands. You must meet 1 of these conditions to receive temporary protection
You are covered by the Temporary Protection Directive if you meet one of the following conditions:
You have Ukrainian citizenship and you travelled from Ukraine on or after 27 November 2021.
You have Ukrainian citizenship and you can prove that you were already in the Netherlands before 27 November 2021, and not in another EU country.
If you were a refugee recognised by Ukraine on 23 February 2022.
If you had a valid, permanent Ukrainian residence permit on 23 February 2022, and you did not leave Ukraine by 27 November 2021, and did not return to your country of origin after 23 February 2022.
If you are a partner, minor child or dependent relative of covered individuals.
If you do not have Ukrainian citizenship and had a valid temporary Ukrainian residence permit on 23 February 2022 and you registered with a Dutch municipality before 19 July 2022. In this case, you have temporary protection until the European court has ruled on the right to temporary protection for this group. This is no longer than 4 March 2025.
You are entitled to stay at least until 4 March 2026

Do you not have Ukrainian citizenship or did not have a permanent residence permit in Ukraine? Then you have temporary protection until the European court rules on the right to temporary protection. You are entitled to protection at least until 4 March 2025.
This is what you are entitled to in the Netherlands if you fall under the Temporary Protection Directive
If you fall under the Temporary Protection Directive (TPD), you are entitled to stay in the Netherlands for a certain period of time. You are then also entitled to certain facilities in the Netherlands, such as:
A place in a reception centre
Medical care
The right to work
Education for minor children
Sometimes you are not entitled to temporary protection
You are not entitled to temporary protection if one of these points applies to you:
You have a temporary Ukrainian residence permit (e.g. for work or study) and you are not registered with a Dutch municipality before 19 July 2022.
You do not have sufficient documentation to show that you are covered by the Temporary Protection Directive.
You filed an application for (inter)national protection in Ukraine, which has not yet been decided on.
You yourself have left the Netherlands for a country outside the EU. TPD is not a travel document. The customs of a non-EU country cannot let you enter because you do not have a travel document.
You used the remigration scheme of the
Repatriation & Departure Service.You have been convicted of a serious crime
